Its been a while since I last meet up with my dearest aunt. Both of us had been very busy and her offday always clashes with my regular five days work routine. She may either be free on any day of the weekday while I may not. However, due to her birthday yesterday, I made an exception to meet her after work. She insisted on us going to Giant at tampines road for some grocery shopping. I was flabbergasted at first but no questions asked.

It turned out to be fun fun fun! The place has less crowd (which I am very thankful for) and I merrily skipped my way through the aisles of food. We were actually very hungry at that time as we have not ate lunch yet, so we went on picking up and eating samples of papaya and all types of breads available there. It sounds ridiculous right? But not until you witness the scene itself. I kept on coming back to the butter bread section to take a handful of breadcrumbs and ate it. I knew better than Hansel than to throw the breadcrumbs away and used it as a guide. Haha.

After the episode of "Eating free samples at Giant", we thought of eating real food. We checked out the food outlet nearby but too bad the halal certificates are still under process. So, since we have this 'waswas' about the preparation of the food, we went to food culture at century square instead. I always know that I'll make a mistake if I order ayam penyet here. It doesn't taste as nice as the one at lucky plaza but I have the sudden craving for this meal.. and for me a craving must be fulfilled, if not kempunan. Hehe. My aunt made a great choice by choosing hot and spicy ban mian. It simply sets ur tastebuds on fire!

By the time we finished our meal, it was almost ten pm. We felt so bloated and full that we made a fast track to the restroom. There, we just sat at the nice sofa and took photos instead. Now, who says going out with an elder is no fun? My aunt has been like a second mum to me and I am very close to her. Infact, we act more like sisters (though the respect is still there). Yes, she has been my confidante all this time. I felt so touched when she told me that she will feel sad the day I'll get myself married, she feels as if she is going to lose a daughter.

What sweet words yet bitter at the same time.

Now, I'm gearing myself up to watch Johnny Depp in action this saturday! Yoohoo Yoohoo, a pirate's life for me!
